Arrived at Pegasus for our two night stay, opening the door the smell took us back to Lodge at Kruger national park with a unique view of the sea.

The Dome has everything you need! Just bring food and juice/drinks.

The Silence is a lovely experience and turning off from the outside world is much needed these days.

Bed is SO comfortable and the hot water is HOT, powerful shower.

Hot Tub is an amazing touch as is the Sauna by the sea ( have to book a slot ).

Keep up the Exceptional work.

Lovely well appointed domes, absolute peace and relaxation, they have everything you need for a self catering break. Very clean throughout, comfortable bed, the fan was a welcome addition. Lovely hot tub and outside area very spacious.
It did take me a while to work out how to open the door though 😂

We stayed in Pegasus at the end of July 2026 for 2 nights. The dome is beautifully equipped with everything you'll need for a cosy stay. The hot tub was raring to go when we arrived and there was a lovely welcome gift of some wine and biscuits waiting in the kitchen. The bed was super comfy and the shower had great pressure with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well equipped with an air fryer, toaster, hob, kettle (no microwave) and all the utensils you'll need to cook.

It's very peaceful by the Domes the only thing to be aware of is that Pegasus is the closest dome to Sauna by the Sea and members of the public can also book to use that sauna throughout the day. It means that if you're in Pegasus dome you might hear the coming and going of people as they use those facilities. We stayed across a weekend and found that Saturday was busier than Sunday but no one was overly noisy. All in all we had a brilliant stay at Domes by the Sea and we would recommend it.

Wonderfully peaceful location off the beaten track. Beautiful scenery and stunning sunsets.
Domes are very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent welcome pack including locally roasted coffee, Kirk Coo Brew. We bought some at Feast cafe.
We'd highly recommend the Domes for a few days peace and tranquility.

We have just returned from a two night stay in Hercules. It was very comfortable (especially the bed), beautifully presented and very clean. The Welcome Pack of milk, sweet and savoury biscuits and a bottle of wine was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Our dog was well provided for too with a crate, blankets and treats. It was very hot weather while we were there but we were provided with a fan and that helped, together with putting the cushions in the port hole windows. It would have been nice to have an umbrella on the patio but we were able to find shade near the log store. We had lovely walks along the coast and were both totally relaxed. We will be back!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the beginning of July to celebrate 1 year until our wedding! It was really easy to find, and staying in a dome made the trip feel a bit different and special. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch - it included wine, milk, biscuits, plus ideas for restaurants and walks.

We were lucky with the weather, so the hot tub and outdoor seating were perfect. Inside, the dome felt surprisingly spacious thanks to the different seating areas, and having TV and Wi‑Fi was great too. The kitchen setup was ideal, with a hob, toaster, kettle and even an air fryer.

The bed was very comfy, and the shower had great power. One small thing: it would be handy if washing‑up liquid and salt/pepper were included, as we had to nip out for those, but everything else we needed was already there.

A big plus for us was how the domes were cat‑friendly. It’s hard to find places that allow cats, and the crate and blankets provided were really appreciated. Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling the best over our trip, so we didn’t get to explore the walks this time, so we’ll definitely be rebooking - especially now that we know our cats are welcome too! Thanks for a lovely stay, we’ve already been recommending this place 🥰

What a fabulous weekend, the Domes are absolutely lovely! Everything thought of & beautiful quality. The welcome pack was really appreciated. We ordered the breakfast pack which was great! The hot tub we loved morning & night. So peaceful & our dog loved the freedom running in the field next to us & playing on the grass in front. Gorgeous views. Only thing we would suggest would be 2 sunloungers as there is plenty room on the decking. We would love to return. Thank you. Pauline & John

We stayed in the Andromeda pod with our dog. It was absolutely gorgeous. The private outdoor decking was surprisingly spacious. Everything is kitted out to a high level. The EV charger was a surprise and relatively cheap, which was a bonus! Our dog LOVED the field beside the pod! Wonderful place already looking to come back!

What a wonderful Scottish experience! My daughter and I were fortunate to enjoy one of the complimentary afternoon sauna sessions, and it was such a treat. The setting is simply magical—a peaceful pasture by the sea, a beautifully heated wood-fired sauna, immaculate changing facilities, and the cold plunge pools looked…refreshing. I’ll have to take everyone else’s word for it because this American couldn’t quite convince herself to jump in! I wandered down the lovely woodland path to the shore instead and enjoyed the fresh sea air and beautiful views. The domes on the property are absolutely charming, and after seeing them, I’d love to come back and stay in one. As a newbie sauna user, I also learned an important lesson—I should have worn the funny little wool sauna hat! Next time I’ll know better! Thank you for your generosity in offering these free community sessions. It was a memorable part of our visit to Scotland, and your kindness is greatly appreciated!

I recently stayed for 2 nights as a solo female traveller with my little dog. I was blown away by the dome and its location and felt so safe both in the dome and walking in the surrounding area. The attention to detail was amazing and I couldn’t find anything that had been missed. The facilities and the hot tub were amazing and we hit on with the weather which made it even more of a fabulous stay. Thank you for all the little touches, which went down a treat. Will def be back and recommend to others, thank you😀

From the moment we got the directions we found the place easily and getting them was easy. Has he been given all the information. They’re located on a quiet area above the sea just four beautiful domes. Once we entered, we were like excited kids as we looked around at how luxurious it was.

We had a couple of minor issues and we just let the owner know saying don’t bother coming out we just want you to be aware of these for changeover, but no John came straight out To show us the little tricks we were missing.

It’s a two person hot tub As we stayed in Orion and it was perfect for us. Highly recommend it for people who just wants some quiet time away. We decided to enjoy our three days and not go anywhere it’s peaceful stunning views and relaxing just what we needed.

A lovely getaway in Kirkcudbright in the Domes by the Sea! They were very spacious, and had everything we needed for a short staycation. They are only 10 minutes away from the town centre by car, or a reasonably short cycle. The grounds had a lovely path down by the sea which was covered in bluebells during our trip. The dome was equipped with all we needed, and was extremely comfortable. It was great that the dome was dog friendly too as we brought ours with us on the holiday. I would highly recommend!

Domes By The Sea is one of those rare places that instantly makes you slow down and breathe differently the moment you arrive. The setting is absolutely stunning — peaceful, wild, and beautifully connected to the sea and surrounding landscape.

The dome itself was incredible. Warm, stylish, immaculately presented, and surprisingly luxurious whilst still feeling close to nature. Waking up to the sea views in complete silence, tea in hand, was something special. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional, from the comfort of the bed to the outdoor space and the atmosphere they’ve created throughout the site.

The sauna experience overlooking the water was unforgettable. Sitting in the heat before stepping out into the cool sea air — and then relaxing afterwards with the cold plunge — felt genuinely restorative. It wasn’t just relaxing, it felt like a complete reset physically and mentally.

What makes this place so unique is that it manages to feel adventurous, romantic, peaceful, and luxurious all at the same time. Whether you want to disconnect, recharge, celebrate something special, or simply escape normal life for a couple of days, this place delivers it beautifully.

We left feeling calmer, happier, and already talking about when we can come back. Truly magical.

Spent a perfect couple of nights in Andromeda Dome. It’s so spacious, yet feels super cosy at night. The owners have thought of everything (thank you so much for the goodies left for us!). The enclosed decking was perfect for the dog and the walks around the area were picturesque. Only 10 mins drive from Kirkcudbright which is a gorgeous little town. Couldn’t recommend Domes by the Sea enough….will definitely be back one day. Pure relaxation!

Dome was absolutely beautiful, very clean and equipped with everything you need. My partner loved the log fire, we sat with the lights out and the fire burning, wine and biscuits on arrival. Lovely novel idea of a dome camping hub situated in the relaxed surroundings of Kirkcudbright, a little town unspoiled by barbers shops, fast food restaurants or charity shops... The domes were modern and catered for everything. The only down side was how cold it was. The log burner was great and there was plenty of wood to burn, but it barely touched the sides to be honest, and the mornings were really cold. The afternoon tea was a bit disappointing for £25, which could be improved on. 4 ham sandwich triangles, 4 mini sausage rolls, a greggs cheese and bacon wrap and 1 scone without cream or jam. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge, but I was unsure if that was complimentary or part of the afternoon tea.
The hot tub was fantastic and we were spoiled with a clear night and an almost full moon.

If you like quiet pleasant breaks away this is an ideal setting. Dog friendly as well.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Our dog loved it as well as the area is enclosed so he could run around off the lead the whole time. The beach is a short walk away and was lovely to watch the sunset there. We lay in the hottub at night and you can see the stars so clearly it was beautiful. After that we would sit and watch TV with the woodfire burning next to us which was also very relaxing. There is nice cafes and restaurants and shops about 10 minute drive away which is also ideal. Definitely recommend

My partner and I were here for 2 nights, we really enjoyed our stay. The dome was easy to find on Google maps, there is a parking spot right outside each of the domes so it’s easy to bring your stuff in and out. The inside of the dome was really spacious, clean and tidy. There is a fridge and a kitchenette. Although we didn’t use it I really liked the idea of the high up bed, the bathroom is a cube room in the middle of the dome with toilet, shower and sink and the bed is on top of this, the view is straight out the top of the dome and into the night sky. Hot tub worked well and we spent plenty of time in there too. Plenty of walking nearby and you’re a 2 minute walk from the bay. I would highly recommended!

First class stay. 2 nights in the lovely Andromeda dome. Super clean, tidy, well stocked. Log burner was class, lovely decking with hot tub. Very comfy, spacious. Great get away for a few nights. Lovely walks up the headland with great views of Isle of Man etc. Didn't catch the lads name but local farmer was super friendly and helpful during the stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Andromeda dome at Domes by the Sea last week - the perfect getaway location to relax being surrounded by coastal walks and nature. The wood burner gave a homely, cosy feel and the hot tub was an amazing extra! Great spot if you have pets too as a couple of the domes are pet-friendly.

The domes are definitely suited to trips all year round and we look forward to coming back in the future.
