How Saunas Can Help
Cardiovascular health
People who used a sauna 2–3 times a week had a 27% lower risk of cardiovascular disease mortality, and those who used it 4–5 times a week had a 50% lower risk. Longer sauna sessions were also associated with a greater reduction in mortality risk.
Stroke risk
People who used a sauna 4–7 times a week had a 62% lower risk of stroke.
Dementia and Alzheimer’s risk
People who used a sauna 4–7 times a week had a 66% lower risk of developing dementia and a 65% lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
