Lovely novel idea of a dome camping hub situated in the relaxed surroundings of Kirkcudbright, a little town unspoiled by barbers shops, fast food restaurants or charity shops... The domes were modern and catered for everything. The only down side was how cold it was. The log burner was great and there was plenty of wood to burn, but it barely touched the sides to be honest, and the mornings were really cold. The afternoon tea was a bit disappointing for £25, which could be improved on. 4 ham sandwich triangles, 4 mini sausage rolls, a greggs cheese and bacon wrap and 1 scone without cream or jam. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge, but I was unsure if that was complimentary or part of the afternoon tea.The hot tub was fantastic and we were spoiled with a clear night and an almost full moon.If you like quiet pleasant breaks away this is an ideal setting. Dog friendly as well.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Our dog loved it as well as the area is enclosed so he could run around off the lead the whole time. The beach is a short walk away and was lovely to watch the sunset there. We lay in the hottub at night and you can see the stars so clearly it was beautiful. After that we would sit and watch TV with the woodfire burning next to us which was also very relaxing. There is nice cafes and restaurants and shops about 10 minute drive away which is also ideal. Definitely recommend

My partner and I were here for 2 nights, we really enjoyed our stay. The dome was easy to find on Google maps, there is a parking spot right outside each of the domes so it’s easy to bring your stuff in and out. The inside of the dome was really spacious, clean and tidy. There is a fridge and a kitchenette. Although we didn’t use it I really liked the idea of the high up bed, the bathroom is a cube room in the middle of the dome with toilet, shower and sink and the bed is on top of this, the view is straight out the top of the dome and into the night sky. Hot tub worked well and we spent plenty of time in there too. Plenty of walking nearby and you’re a 2 minute walk from the bay. I would highly recommended!

First class stay. 2 nights in the lovely Andromeda dome. Super clean, tidy, well stocked. Log burner was class, lovely decking with hot tub. Very comfy, spacious. Great get away for a few nights. Lovely walks up the headland with great views of Isle of Man etc. Didn't catch the lads name but local farmer was super friendly and helpful during the stay.Highly recommended place.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Andromeda dome at Domes by the Sea last week - the perfect getaway location to relax being surrounded by coastal walks and nature. The wood burner gave a homely, cosy feel and the hot tub was an amazing extra! Great spot if you have pets too as a couple of the domes are pet-friendly.The domes are definitely suited to trips all year round and we look forward to coming back in the future.

Just back from a 2 night stay in Hercules. It was absolutely fantastic. Couldn't fault anything. There was even bathrobes, slippers, a fresh carton of milk, a bottle of wine and shortbread. They have literally thought of everything. Will defo be back.

We had a wonderful long weekend in May staying in Pegasus. The domes have everything you need for a relaxing and peaceful time in this beautiful part of the world. The breakfast pack was stunning and we got some local seafood from Kirkcudbright for dinner one night. We also loved the hot tub and made good use of all the facilities. Would definitely go back for another visit!
